Wind, solar, water, all the technologies that have been available for 30 years but were not supported because of endless fixation on gas.

The world’s largest wind farm is being built in the Czech republic. We have plenty of wind–it’s for free!

Hybrid school buses–The current ones in NY State only get 6 miles to the gallon! This is bankrupting school districts! Hybrids would get at least 12 and be clean and green.

If we do need to use oil

We can buy gas from companies which do not use middle eastern oil:

BP purchased none from the Middle East.
Citgo-None from the Middle East.
Sunoco purchased none from the Middle East.
Phillips-no Middle Eastern purchases.

Norway is the 6th biggest oil producer on the planet!

Be prepared for gas prices to NOT go down too much. Europeans pay high taxes on their gas. Now that we have proven how much we are willing to pay for gas, count on taxes going up!

Even if you do not believe in global warming, or GW as being a product of human activity, the recent tv show on the national geo channel showed that we would need FOUR planet earths just to sustain the current American lifestyle, let alone have to cope with the fact that other countries, the boom ones of China, India, russia and brazil, all want that same standard of living. Let alone any other ‘emerging nations.’
Something to think about for the future of all of us and succeeding generations!

Recycle–speaks for itself. cut down on all waste. Maybe even turn that waste into something which can produce more energy, eg methane gas from landfill to power a factory, or from a farm to make the farm self supporting.
