What does this say about him that on the one hand he acts so smugly self-confident, and on the other he is literally doing or saying whatever he wants in order to get elected.

Obama’s new ‘proposal’ includes two significant reversals of positions he has taken in the past: He had steadfastly fought the idea of limited new offshore drilling and was against tapping the nation’s emergency oil stockpile to relieve pump prices that have stubbornly hovered around $4 a gallon.

Not only did Obama push for drawing from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, he also reiterated his changing position on offshore drilling — first revealed last Friday — suggesting that he could live with it if done in an environmentally sound way and as part of a bipartisan energy compromise.

Once the got the nomination, he completely changed his tune and while I would not go so far as to say not to vote for him, since anything has to be better than yet another Republican, just keep in mind we need to hold him accountable so we do not end up with an even worse president than Bush.

One thing is for sure, his platform of change is just more of the same. Here is yet another politician who can’t be trusted. He has not even attempted to show he is willing to keep his word on anything, the very things which supposedly gave him the nomination in the first place.

When in fact, he did not win any of the big states, and the only reason Hillary Clinton did not get the nomination was because the Democratic National Party chose to ignore the democratic rights of the citizens of Florida and Michigan and did not give her the delegates she had won!

It is ALL corrupt. And SHAME on Obama for taking advantage of such a corrupt system to jockey himself into a place of power and trust he has proven time and time again that he does NOT deserve.

Now it is Obama supporting the government’s surveillance bill despite the fact that he said he would oppose it.

Every day we have more and more evidence of his inability to stick to any sort of policy or principle.

He staggered across the finish line, with his last delegates for the past few months coming in as a trickle instead of the former flood when he was riding the wave.

He didn’t carry a single major state.

He needs her, he needs her delegates, he needs her experience. And her toughness and resilience. And the kind of excellent debate performances she can give.

And even if she is not VEEP, Obama will know that if he does get to be President, two women put him there-Oprah, and Hillary Clinton.

Because the Republicans would have knocked his inexperienced head ten ways to Sunday if Clinton hadn’t stomped him good.

Hearing about affordable (aka free) health insurance for all Americans, saving billions by pulling troops from Iraq, and forcing oil companies to spend profits to develop ”green” technologies are strictly democratic party economic talking points from Obama.  But, unprecedented government debt, dollar devaluation through absurdly low interest rates, and harsh immigration policies are all strictly republican economic strategies.  Which party, and therefore, presidential candidate, is better for the US in the long run: Obama, or McCain?

Now that Obama has clinched the Dem nomination, it is a logical conclusion he is our next president, though it will be close.  In terms of foreign policy, how far can diplomacy go?  Talks with Iran, Syria, and North Korea are not out of bounds.  But, can this pay off, or will he only be taken for a ride?
